COOKIE POLICY

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file, which consists of numbers and letters and which, when you access a website, is saved in the browser you use (eg: Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla, Safari ) and stored on the computer, phone, tablet or any other device through which you access the respective website.

A cookie consists of 2 parts: the name and the content or value of the cookie. The duration of its existence is determined. Technically, only the web server that sent the cookie will be able to access it again when the user returns to the website associated with the respective web server. Practically, with each subsequent access to the site, the browser sends this file to the site's server, thus allowing the identification of a visitor who has returned to the site.

Cookies are used for the purpose of analyzing the traffic and/or performance of the website monitored and accessed by the visitor. Cookies generate a friendly browsing experience adapted to the preferences and interests of each user. These files allow websites to retain and store useful information about user preferences and may contain information of a personal nature (such as a history of visited pages, user identification code, personalized preferences). For specific information related to the processing and protection of personal data by SC Macromex SRL, you can consult the Personal Data Protection Policy section, at www.foodandglory.ro/politica-privind-protectia-datelor-cu-caracter-personal.

In conclusion, the cookie is installed by the request issued by the web server of the browser used by you and is completely "passive" (it does not contain software programs, viruses or spyware and cannot access the information on the user's hard drive). Cookies do not request personal information and, in most cases, do not personally identify Internet users. Although cookies are stored in the memory of the internet user's computer/device, they cannot access/read other information located in the respective computer/device. Cookies are not compiled as code and cannot be executed. Thus, they cannot self-copy, they cannot spread to other networks to generate actions and they cannot be used to spread viruses.

Types of cookies

There are 2 large categories of cookies:

Session cookies â€“ are temporarily stored in the browser's history, which remembers them until the user exits the respective website or closes the browser window (eg when logging in/out on a account).

Persistent cookies â€“ they are stored on the hard drive of a computer/device and are not deleted when the browsing session is closed (and, in general, they depend on the lifetime of the cookie). Persistent cookies also include those placed by a website other than the one the user is visiting at the time - known as third-party cookies - which can be used anonymously for to remember the interests of a user, so that the most relevant advertising for users is delivered.
