Steps

From the fluffy flatbreads to the flavorful chicken, every step contributes to a perfect gyros.

Prepare the flatbreads

Mix the ingredients for the flatbreads and knead until you obtain a smooth dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

Prepare the oven-baked chicken

Remove the Food & Glory chicken from the packaging, cut it in half, and heat it according to the instructions on the package.

Prepare the tzatziki sauce

Grate one garlic clove into the Greek yogurt, add the well-drained cucumbers and dill. Season with salt, lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the Greek spice mix

Mix all the ingredients for the Greek spice mix in a bowl until you obtain a flavorful paste.

Finish the flatbreads

Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, shape them into small balls, and let them rest for another 10 minutes. Roll out each dough ball with a rolling pin, then cook them in a hot pan. Cook the flatbreads until small bubbles appear, flip them over, and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side.

Flavor the chicken

Finely chop the oven-baked chicken and sauté it in a pan together with the Greek spice paste, stirring well so it becomes evenly flavored.

Assemble the gyros

On each flatbread, layer: a spread of tzatziki, iceberg lettuce, seasoned chicken, red onion, tomatoes (optional), French fries, and extra tzatziki. Garnish with chopped dill and parsley.
